As Corporate Counsel - Commercial, you will play a critical role in supporting our Sales and Sourcing teams by providing legal guidance, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance across a variety of commercial agreements. You'll partner with key stakeholders to shape business strategies while maintaining a strong legal and ethical foundation.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and Sourcing teams, providing strategic legal counsel and risk assessment.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including sales agreements, supply chain contracts, and sourcing agreements.
  • Oversee the contracting process for commercial transactions related to appliance sales, delivery, and installation.
  • Support international commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise business leaders on commercial and distribution law.
  • Develop and deliver training on legal topics such as commercial transactions and risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to legal initiatives focused on the responsible use of Generative AI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align legal strategies with business objectives.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. state.
  • 7+ years of experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department, with expertise in commercial transactions, sourcing, retail, or distribution law.
  • Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of UCC and contract law.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with sound judgment and the ability to balance legal and business considerations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed to support business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-house legal experience within a manufacturing or consumer products company.
  • Familiarity with construction law and emerging technologies.
  • Experience handling international business transactions and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of key business and finance principles.
