Senior Counsel ( In - House )

Role Summary

Castle & Cooke is seeking a senior counsel to join its legal team in Hawaii. We desire an individual who is flexible, practical, and business-minded with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and present business associates with real-world advice. If you are driven to work in a dynamic, multicultural, diverse environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will provide sound legal and business advice to management and employees;
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance law; manage organizational risks
• Provide counsel in international operations and globalization, complex and routine business transactions, organizational and financing structuring, intellectual property protection, and design professional and contractor agreements.
• Counsel employees on various business and legal issues germane to residential development, commercial, aviation, retail, agricultural tourism, and food and beverage operations.

Qualifications

• Valid and active license to practice law in the state of Hawaii
• Able to appear before all courts in the state of Hawaii and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
• At least 10 years of relevant legal experience in development, property management, construction, financing, corporate compliance and governance, contracts, intellectual property, employment, and globalization.
• Litigation experience is preferred.
• This is an onsite, full-time, exempt position.
• Some travel and after-hours work may occasionally be required.
