This position will assist with legal and administrative support by overseeing processes and workflow of legal documents, intake, review, and post-execution administration of all assigned matters. Scope/Responsibilities: Learning required job skills, company policies and procedures. Utilize structured, specific instructions to learn required job skills; gain mortgage-industry process knowledge. Has the ability to effectively meet customer and business needs. Establishes effective professional rapport with external customers. May be responsible for reviewing documents/customer correspondence. Places strong emphasis on accurate and complete documentation. Capable of serving as first impression of Mr. Cooper to external and internal customers. Introduction to managing time, priorities and resources to achieving goals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manage outside counsel to ensure proper case handling and reduce risk to the organization Conduct fact finding through routine inquiries and reviews. Review responses and records as needed. Review incoming motions and determines appropriate legal team to work case. Monitor progress of pending cases and initiates action to ensure legal pleadings, forms, reports, correspondence, and other documents are prepared and submitted within established timelines. Monitor and track vendor performance Handle escalated matters from vendors and Investors as needed Ensures ongoing contact with outside Counsel to retrieve additional information, legal documents or other pertinent data as required. Respond to calls furnishing requested information concerning pending matters and closed matters. Participate in special administrative and legal research projects as requested. Develop and update status reports on Contested cases Manage Contested, Title and Probate impediments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Education & Professional Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of work experience. Associates degree preferred with two years customer service experience. Mortgage and/or Financial Services experience a plus. Leadership/Hierarchy: Operates effectively under general supervision. Ability to train new or existing staff when necessary. Suggests and asks for others' ideas to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Level of Decision Making: Applies judgment to resolve issues and/or make recommendations. Utilizes sound judgment to identify the best solution to critical issues within a functional area. Utilizes technical skills to recommend solutions. Individual/Customer Impact: Decisions and actions have impact on success of project team, department and/or client. Scope of work occasionally impacts assigned business area, other business units and/or processes. Provides advice and assistance to help others accomplish their work. Proven ability to serve as a champion for our customers. Ability to handle escalated issues timely and appropriately. Communication: Demonstrates high-level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver thorough communications to a team and/or peers. Skilled in presenting to small groups. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate intermediate to advanced computer and software skills necessary for job function. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
