A Brief Overview

The People Direct Advocate is responsible for responding to high volume human resources inquiries and requests and provides consultation related to human resources and associate data changes. As part of this centralized team this position will respond to and track phone calls, emails and other communication methods with across functional relationships with speed, accuracy and professionalism. This position will work with People Direct Specialists, Supervisor and PLD partners on special PLD assignments as needed.

What you will do

  • Responsible for receiving, responding to, and documenting People Direct calls and e-mails consisting primarily of benefits, payroll, leave of absences, company policy, performance management, recruiting, compensation, and People System.

  • Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills in order to resolve issues and questions, while working cross functionally within the organization.

  • Responsible for shared service responsibilities that support specialists and People Direct owned processes.

  • Associates are required to report to the office for technical issues, emergencies, shares service responsibilities, critical meetings, or security concerns. Preplanned visits will have at least two weeks' notice, while immediate needs require timely reporting within 90 minutes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

What you will need

  • High School Diploma required.

  • 6+ months of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in Human Resources administration and/or benefits and general knowledge of various HR laws and practice required

  • Experience with ADP and other HR information systems.

  • Ability to multi-task, as well as be detail driven; have high level of customer service focused on internal and external relationships; be goal driven; be responsive to deadlines; be a team player.

  • Intermediate level computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Ability to handle complex and emotional situations and make decisions based on process documents.
